The Village and the Roia Valley
The houses of Airole are built closely together on a spur above the Roia river, around a small square and the parish church. Down the valley lies Ventimiglia, and the Riviera towns of Bordighera and Sanremo are further east. Across the border, the French Riviera and Menton are close by.
