Property for Sale in Arizzano, Piedmont
Arizzano is a small hillside comune above Verbania, on the Piedmont side of Lake Maggiore, in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. Its houses and gardens are spread across green slopes looking down on the lake, and the homes for sale are all villas.
The Village and the Hills Above the Lake
Arizzano is a quiet residential place of scattered houses, chestnut woods and small lanes, on the road that climbs from Intra towards Premeno and the mountains. The height gives wide views over the water to the Lombard shore, and summers are a little fresher than on the lakefront.

Just below, Verbania and the lakeside promenade of Pallanza are minutes away by car. Further north, the hill village of Gonte has a similar outlook, while Stresa lies to the south.
Property for Sale in Arizzano
Every home on offer in Arizzano is a villa, from a three-bedroom house to larger properties with six bedrooms and generous gardens. Prices are high, starting at over €1 million and rising to around €3 million for the most spacious villas.
Everyday Life and Getting There
The village itself is mainly residential, with Verbania close by for supermarkets, schools, the hospital and the weekly market in Intra. The car ferry from Intra to Laveno links with the Lombard shore.

The nearest station, Verbania-Pallanza, is on the line from Milan to Domodossola, and the A26 motorway is within easy reach. Milan Malpensa is the most convenient airport.
Buying in Arizzano
Hillside plots often rely on terracing, so ask about the state of retaining walls and drainage, and check that steep driveways are usable in winter. Views are part of the value, so find out what could be built on neighbouring land.

Before you exchange, a local geometra should go through the comune’s planning files and the land registry to make sure the villa, any pool and any annexes are all legally recorded.
