Property for Sale in Calosso, Piedmont
Calosso is a hilltop wine village between Canelli and Costigliole d’Asti, in the south of the Province of Asti. It is surrounded by Moscato and Barbera vineyards that form part of the UNESCO-listed wine landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato.
The Village and Its Hills
The village is small, gathered around its castle and parish church on the crest of a hill, with long views over the vineyards towards the Langhe and, on clear days, the Alps. Small cellars dug into the hillside beneath the houses are a local tradition, and wine remains the main business of the area.
Canelli, the centre of Moscato and sparkling wine production, is just to the south-east, and Costigliole d’Asti lies to the north. Agliano Terme is a short drive east.

Buying in Calosso
If you are buying a winery or B&B, check that licences, vineyard registrations and contracts can pass to you. Steep vineyard tracks can be hard going in winter.
Your geometra should review the planning history and cadastral plans with the comune, including any cellars, barns or rooms converted for guests.
