Property for Sale in Casciana Terme Lari, Tuscany
Casciana Terme Lari is a comune in the hills south-east of Pisa, in the Province of Pisa, formed when the spa town of Casciana Terme and the medieval village of Lari merged. Its countryside of olive groves, vineyards and woods is dotted with villas and farmhouses.
The Towns and the Hills
Casciana Terme grew around its thermal springs, and its spa is still in use today. Lari, a few kilometres north, is a hilltop village dominated by the Castello dei Vicari and known for its cherries and a historic pasta maker.
The hills around are part of the Colline Pisane, with small villages, farms and winding roads. Lari has its own page, and neighbouring comuni include Terricciola, Chianni and Crespina Lorenzana, with Ponsacco in the valley to the north.

Everyday Life and Getting There
Both centres have shops, restaurants, pharmacies and schools, with supermarkets and hospitals in Pontedera and Pisa.

Buying in Casciana Terme Lari
Hillside properties should be checked for slope stability, access roads and water supply. For a property complex to renovate, get a full survey and talk to the comune about permitted uses.
Ask a geometra to compare the state of the property with the documents at the land registry and the comune, including any outbuildings and pools.
