Menaggio is one of the main towns on the western shore of Lake Como, in the Province of Como. It sits on the central part of the lake, opposite Bellagio and Varenna, at the point where a valley road leads west towards Lake Lugano and Switzerland.
The Town and the Central Lake
The old centre is a compact web of lanes and squares behind a lakefront promenade, with cafés, hotels and a small beach and lido.
