Buying in Montopoli in Val d’Arno

Some homes in the valley lie close to the Arno and its tributaries, so check flood maps and drainage before buying there. In the hills, ask about water supply and access roads to isolated villas.

A geometra can review the land registry entries and building permits for the house, annexe and pool, so that you know before signing that the property is fully compliant.
