Property for Sale in Riparbella, Tuscany
Riparbella is a hill village in the lower Val di Cecina, in the south-west of the Province of Pisa, overlooking the coastal plain and the sea. It combines inland countryside with easy access to the beaches of the Etruscan Coast.
The Village and Its Surroundings
The village has a small medieval centre on a hill, with views towards the coast at Cecina. Behind it, the land rises into extensive Mediterranean woodland and maquis, while the lower slopes are planted with vines and olives; this is part of the Montescudaio wine area.
Guardistallo and Casale Marittimo are neighbouring hill villages to the south, Montecatini Val di Cecina lies further inland, and Volterra is reached by following the Cecina valley east.

Riparbella has a few shops and cafés, while Cecina provides supermarkets, a hospital and a railway station on the coastal line between Pisa and Rome. The Aurelia dual carriageway runs along the coast. Pisa airport is the most convenient for international flights.
Buying in Riparbella
Homes surrounded by woodland face fire risk in dry summers, so check firebreaks and the condition of access tracks. Water supply in the countryside may come from wells, so ask about flow in late summer. A geometra from the coast area can confirm that the cadastral data and permits match the property, including any pool.
