San Vincenzo is a seaside town on the Etruscan Coast, in the south of the Province of Livorno. With long sandy beaches, a marina and a lively summer season, it is a popular place for buying a holiday apartment by the sea.
The Town and the Coast
The town lines the shore, with a seafront promenade, shops and restaurants, and a modern marina. South of town, the Rimigliano park protects a long stretch of beach backed by pine woods, running towards the Gulf of Baratti and the Etruscan site of Populonia. Inland, the hills rise towards medieval villages, vineyards and olive groves.
Campiglia Marittima and Suvereto lie in the hills behind the coast, Castagneto Carducci is to the north, and Piombino, the port for Elba, is to the south.
