Tremezzo is a lakeside village on the western shore of Lake Como, in the Province of Como. Since 2014 it has been part of the comune of Tremezzina, and it is one of the classic resorts of the lake, with grand hotels and villas facing Bellagio.
The Village and the Lake
The village is best known for Villa Carlotta, whose gardens of azaleas and rhododendrons and art collection draw visitors from spring to autumn. Along the shore, a lakeside park and a row of historic hotels face the water, while terraced gardens and villas climb the hillside behind.
Lenno, with Villa del Balbianello on its headland, lies just to the south, and Menaggio is a short drive north.

Everyday Life and Getting There
Tremezzo has cafés, restaurants and some shops, with more services in Menaggio and Como. Ferries from the village landing stage serve Bellagio, Varenna and the other lake towns.
Como station has trains to Milan. Milan Malpensa and Linate airports are the main options, with Bergamo and Lugano as alternatives.
