Zoagli is a small seaside town on the Gulf of Tigullio, in the Province of Genoa, between Rapallo and Chiavari. Its houses rise from a small beach up steep hillsides covered with olive groves and villas.
The Town and the Coast
Zoagli has a long tradition of weaving silk and velvet, and a few workshops still keep the craft alive. A walkway cut into the rocks runs along the sea from the small beach in the centre.
The listings here also include homes towards Santa Margherita Ligure, with Portofino at the tip of its headland. To the east lie Chiavari and Sestri Levante.

Apartments, villas and detached houses are all on offer, many with sea views. This is a high-priced market, with most homes around €1 million to €1.2 million and the largest villa well above that.
Everyday Life and Getting There
Zoagli has a few shops and restaurants, with larger services in Rapallo and Chiavari. It is quieter than its neighbours, but the busier resorts are close.
Zoagli has a station on the coastal line between Genoa and La Spezia, and the A12 motorway exit at Rapallo is near. Genoa airport is the nearest.
Buying in Zoagli
Hillside homes may be reached only by steps or narrow roads, so check parking and access. Retaining walls and drainage need attention, as Ligurian slopes can slip after heavy rain.
