Eladó ingatlanok Brindisiben, Pugliában
Brindisi is the capital of the Province of Brindisi, a port city on the Adriatic coast of southern Puglia built around a deep natural harbour. Its comune also takes in a wide stretch of flat farmland of olive groves, vineyards and vegetable fields, and this is where the homes listed here are found.
A város és környéke
The harbour divides into an inner and an outer port, with ferries leaving for Greece. On the waterfront, a tall Roman column marks the traditional end of the Via Appia, the road from Rome, and the Swabian castle built under Frederick II still guards the inner harbour. The old centre has a cathedral, Romanesque churches and a long seafront promenade.

Away from the city, the countryside is dotted with masserie and small country houses, and the coast to the north runs towards the Torre Guaceto reserve. Further north-west lie Carovigno, San Vito dei Normanni and the hill town of Ostuni.

The homes for sale are country properties: single-storey villas with two or three bedrooms and a farmhouse with several hectares of land, all a short drive from the sea. Prices are modest to mid-range, from a little over €100,000 to below €300,000.
Everyday Life and Getting There
As a provincial capital, Brindisi has a hospital, large supermarkets, schools, a university campus and a busy fish market. The beaches north of the city are used mostly in summer.

Brindisi airport sits just outside the city, and Bari airport is a further option. The city has a station on the Adriatic railway, and dual carriageways lead north to Bari and south to Lecce.
Buying in Brindisi
Xylella, the disease that has killed many olive trees in southern Puglia, has reached this area, so look closely at the state of any olive grove included in a sale. In the countryside, check how the house is supplied with water, whether it relies on a well, and how waste water is treated.

Rural villas in Puglia were sometimes extended without permission and later regularised under an amnesty. Ask a geometra to compare each building with its cadastral plan and to trace every permit and amnesty file before you commit.
