Lake View Apartment in Umbria Castle

Held within the walls of a 14th-century Umbrian castle, this residence rises from stone first laid in 1380 and recently brought back to life with a restoration that treats every beam, every terracotta tile, every quiet corner with the reverence of inheritance. On the second floor, roughly one hundred square metres unfold beneath wooden ceilings, where an ancient hearth still gathers the evening together. From the arched window, the hills of Umbria fall away toward the silver expanse of Lake Trasimeno, while shared grounds within the castle walls offer the slow rhythm of village life. Two bedrooms, a fireside living room with kitchenette, and one bathroom — a place to inhabit history without leaving comfort behind.
