The Secret of the Palace

A single-storey home The flat was completely refurbished a few years ago and is laid out entirely on a single floor. The living area combines the living room, dining area and a fully fitted kitchen into a single open-plan space, whilst windows on two sides let in light from different directions, so that the room changes colour as the hours pass. A short hallway discreetly separates the sleeping area, which comprises two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a contemporary design. Comfort for all seasons An independent gas boiler provides heating and hot water, allowing you to enjoy the home all year round, even when winter shrouds the Etruscan walls in the mist of the Valdichiana. The flat is ideal as a main residence, a pied-à-terre for stays in Tuscany or, for those who wish, a property suitable for holiday lettings, thanks to its location in the heart of the village. Cortona and its surroundings Step outside the front door and you are just a short walk from the main square, the cafés, trattorias, shops and art venues that make Cortona one of Tuscany’s most beloved towns. At the foot of the hill, Camucia station (around 3 km away) provides direct connections to Florence and Rome. Lake Trasimeno is about 13 km away, Arezzo less than 30 km and Montepulciano about 30 km, whilst Perugia and Siena are approximately 45 and 70 km away respectively. For those arriving by plane, Perugia Airport is about 60 km away, Florence Airport about 120 km and Rome Fiumicino Airport about 230 km.
