Located within an ancient hamlet, unique two-level country house with fine interiors, for sale in the surrounding of Trequanda, Siena. Within a small and time-softened hamlet in the Tuscan countryside, between Trequanda and Sinalunga, this distinguished stone casale dates back to the early nineteenth century and sensitively restored in 1996. The house retains its origins features while accommodating a more contemporary rhythm of living, its interiors composed with a deliberate balance of texture, proportion and light. It is arranged over two floors, offering a total of 315 square metres (3,390 sq ft), set within a fully enclosed private plot of 1,330 square metres (0,32 acres).
Approached along a short gravel lane, the property forms part of an intimate cluster of dwellings, where the scenic Siennese landscape remains the principal presence. The façade, in warm local stone, carries a subtle dynamism, its traditional lines gently animated by later interventions. A porch extends along two sides of the house, offering shade and continuity between inside and out, while two balconies, one with a notably open aspect, draw the eye outward across the surrounding countryside and its shifting light. Internally, the ground floor is arranged for conviviality, with a antrance into a living room with fireplace leading into an open-plan kitchen designed for informal gathering. A double reception room, articulated around a central fireplace, provides a more atmospheric counterpoint. Upstairs, parquet floors introduce a mezzanine, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a study opening onto a panoramic terrace. The garden, enclosed and extending to just over a third of an acre, is quietly composed, entered through a simple wooden gate and offering a series of intimate and open spaces. There is the possibility of introducing a swimming pool, should one wish to extend the property’s leisure dimension, while a small annex of approximately 25 square metres, currently awaiting restoration, suggests further potential—whether as guest quarters or a more secluded working space or hobby room.
