15th-century country house with annexes, detached villa, panoramic swimming pool, solar panels, and 3.9 hectares of land for sale in Loro Ciuffenna, Arezzo. In a panoramic position with breathtaking views over the Valdarno valley and the Chianti hills, at 350 metres/ 1,148 ft above sea level, La Guardiaccia is a true haven for those who love peace and nature, surrounded by ancient woodland and endless horizons. The main country house dates back to the 1400s and retains its medieval stone façades and brick arches. Spread over three levels, it features large belvedere terraces equipped with outdoor living areas and a hot tub. Recently restored into an elegant country residence in rustic style, it offers four bedrooms, together with a spa annex complete with gym and sauna room. The interiors boast evocative wooden beam ceilings, with several rooms preserving original terracotta floors and charming stone fireplaces. These historic features blend harmoniously with modern finishes including wooden double-glazed windows, parquet floors, ceramic-tiled bathrooms, and a new photovoltaic system providing electricity and hot water during the summer months.
The central floor of the country house serves as the heart of the home, hosting a cosy living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, and terraces on both sides. The spa annexe sits in the courtyard facing the main house, alongside a wood oven with barbecue and covered portico.
A short garden path leads to the pool area, beautifully set in a sun terrace paved with stone and terracotta, complete with gazebo. At the far end stands a former medieval hay barn, tastefully restored and converted into a romantic guest cottage. A cypress-lined drive leads to a two-storey villa of 136 sq m/ 1,463 sq ft, perfectly integrated into the landscape, with large windows filling every room with natural light. It features parquet flooring, solar panels, and all modern comforts. La Guardiaccia is surrounded by 1,730 sqm/18,618 sq ft of landscaped garden and 3.9 hectares of land/9.64 acres with olive groves, woodland, and three horse boxes. Nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside between Florence and Arezzo—both just a 30-minute drive away—it lies 15 km from the A1 motorway and only twenty minutes from Prada and The Mall Luxury Outlet. Loro Ciuffenna, just 2.5 km/1.55 miles away, is a picturesque medieval village with a charming historic centre, famous for its thousand-year-old working mill. The town offers all main amenities, including cafés, restaurants, shops, and a post office.
